R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) 

Anyone who is interested in joining the Catholic Church is invited to contact the parish office at 859-635-4188.  Our process begins in the summer and ends a few weeks after Easter.

BAPTISM

We celebrate the sacrament of Baptism on the first and fourth Sundays at 12:15 by appointment.

Preparation class for parents is held on the second Tuesday of Feb., Apr., June, Aug., Oct., and Dec.

Parents are required to attend a preparation class before their first child is baptized.

Parents with another child to be baptized are expected to attend a follow-up session if more than four years have elapsed since attending.

Confessions are on the first Saturday of the month from 3:30 – 4:00 or anytime by appointment.

Our second graders celebrate First Penance in mid-January.

We celebrate Eucharist daily.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday:  8:30 a.m.

Thursday:  7:00 p.m.

Saturday evening Mass:  4:30 p.m.

Sunday Masses:  8:00, 9:30, 11:00 a.m.

Our second graders celebrate First Communion on the first Saturday of May.

Eighth graders are confirmed early in the calendar year at a date given by the diocese.

Adults are confirmed at the cathedral by the bishop on Pentecost each year.

Couples need to contact the priest eight months in advance of the intended date of marriage.

This sacrament is offered not just to those who are dying but those suffering from serious sickness and those facing serious surgery. 

Families requesting this sacrament for their loved one should contact Sr. Gertrude Knipper, 635-4188.

The priest will come to the home, or the person can receive the sacrament at a daily Mass.
